The Bell Metropolis Life and Style Bike Helmet is constructed with a fusion in-mold microshell, which utilizes the process of bonding the helmet’s microshell to its EPS foam layer, rather than forming the two separately and taping them together later. The process provides a sturdier, more solid helmet. This helmet features a SoftShell bottom wrap, made of supple-yet-durable rubber that protects the helmet from the wear of everyday use, and Bell’s GPS (Geared Positioning System) fitting method to deliver an easy one-hand adjustment for the maximum in fit and comfort.
The Metropolis also features a flasher strap for rear lights, a removable blade visor, and cam-lock levers that make it easy to adjust the straps around your ears. For your comfort, this bicycle helmet includes 16 channeled vents that are specially designed to force cool, fresh air in through the front and around your head, while flushing warm air out of the rear ports. The Metropolis helmet comes in three sizes: small (51-55cm), medium (55-59cm), and large (59-63). Bell’s Metropolis helmet weighs 290 grams, and complies with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s safety standards for bicycle helmets.

Needed a full feature helmet for commuting by Timothy J. Curtiss
I needed the Metropolis with all the accessories, and this was my last chance to get one, as they are discontinued. The helmet is easy to adjust, and has useful accessories like a rain cover, winter kit, and mirror visor. I will definitely use all these accessories, as I commute all year round.

I am a year-round commuter in New England. This is far and away the best looking and most comfortable helmet I’ve ever used. Perfect fit (easily adjustable), well vented, rounded design makes it safer. Like my B17 saddle, it’s a classic, an enduring design.
Nice Helmet with lots of optional equipment by Van the Man
I’ve had my Metropolis for 2 weeks now. Its everything I hoped it would be.
I love the rear light attachment strap. It make the helmet a little heavy but I feel safer with the light up high on my head instead of down on my seat.
I also bought the rear view mirror. I have a handlebar mounted Cat Eye mirror which provides a generous field of view. In comparison, the helmet mirror is very small. This has taken some time to get used to but the more I use it the better gets. Regarding how it won’t work with road handlebars, I have a road bike and the only adjustment I have to make is to move the mirror up higher toward the visor. That moves it out of my forward line of vision but keeps it in a usable position.
I will be looking into the winter kit next…
Great Helmet by Actmeister
Nicely made, appears of very good quality. Good color selection and great price on Amazon. It’s comfortable, and the directions for adjustment that come with it are easy to follow. It has a nice little slot on the back for a light with a clip. Nice. It’s a least twice what you’ll pay for the cheap ones, but then again, how much is your head worth to you?
